Getting fat with Titín – Episode 2

Hiiiiii!

Welcome to the second Episode of Getting fat with Titín ^^. It feels soooo good to have a proper reason to get fat, doesn’t it? Yes, I know, even if I didn’t have a reason (like: making videos to show the world what Korean food is like) I would be eating as well.

Because…FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Anyway.

Today…TODAY I will show you one of my favorite Korean dishes EVER. Seriously, it is definitely on my top three. I haven’t tried many dishes yet, but at least so far…wait..no

*remembers the flavor of the sauce going down her throat*

It is THE number one Korean dish on my list so far. Yes. Oh yes.

Korean

Mmmm… I wonder if the fact that it only costs 2,000KRW (USD 2) (in this restaurant) has something to do with my obsession with it. Could it be possible that the state of being a poor backpacker is influential to the senses? It would be great for saving. If only I could get drunk with less amount of alcohol…

*remembers that now her audience include 13 year olds*

DRINKING IS BAD KIDS!

Getting back to the point…

Today we get fat with…jjajangmyeon and for only…TWO DOLLARS

*wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, YEAH BABYYY, GIVE ME 8 OF THOSE*

OLEEEEE OLEEE OLEEE OLEEEEE JJAJAAAAANG –MYEON *Argentinian football chant*

Korean

자장면 (jajangmyeon) Jajangmyeon is basically noodles with a thick and salty black beans sauce (chunjang), which has onions and pieces of pork OM NOM NOM. The biggest om nom nom EVER. I swear it taste delicious. I don’t if it is the combination of black beans with pork and noodles or what but I sincerely looooove the taste of this AMAZING KOREAN DISH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

*runs around the neighbourhood screaming jjajangmyeon*

Going back to the sauce, chunjang is the Korean pronunciation of the Chinese characters 炸醬, which literally means “fried sauce”. And it tastes delicious. I think I said that already, right? Not gonna stop, I’m sorry.

I encourage all human beings coming to Korea to go and try this dish. And something worth mentioning is…THAT IT IS NOT SPICY. NOT AT ALL. I think it might be one of the most delicious not-spicy alternatives in Korea.

I’m going to stop talking now and just let you enjoy seeing me eating, because I know you love to. You just love watching me eat, I know it.
